Sorry to hear that you have problem with Dussun product.
I am the distributor for Dussun in North America. Now you stuck. You bought a Chinese version V8i that runs 220v AC power. Australia has 240v AC power. You were running your V8i under 10% higher voltage. It started the first day with the voltage issue
I assume that you know the risk buy from grey market, you are on your own, no one will take care of you.
By the way, we are luck that till this point we do not have any returns for repair yet.

Yes, AP, you are right, the unit will run under 10% voltage difference, but it is definitely not recommended. If a standard says 240v, any chance it could go to 260v in real run time?
A clean and stable AC power source is very important to sound quality and life of the product. It is why many manufactures have product versions of: 100v, 110v, 120v, 220v, 230v and 240v. Dussun has 240v product too, I believe.

Is there currently a US importer/distributor for these products? I’m interested in the V-8i or V-6i. These appear to be an awesome value, but as the saying goes; if it appears to be too good a deal, it probably is. I had an unfortunate experience with an Italian hi-end company who did not answer my six (6) e-mails and one fax message describing the problem and asking to send me a diagram for my technician, but did not receive a reply!
Though this problem has been fixed by the technician, I decided, as a matter of principle, to sell this amp and upgrade it for another unit manufactured by the company that offers excellent service and treats itsd customers in a civilized manner!What Italian High End Co.?, posted on May 6, 2007 at 18:24:20 It does no one any good to be vague.
